At least four Palestinians died in Gaza on October 31 as Israeli attacks continued despite the ceasefire that took effect in October 2025, according to Al Jazeera. The deaths included two girls injured in a fire at a displacement camp; the report did not establish what caused the blaze.

Al-Awda Hospital confirmed that Palestinian teacher Diaa Abu al-Rous was killed when Israeli forces shelled the Nuseirat refugee camp. Arafat al-Arair died from serious injuries suffered days earlier in an Israeli strike on a vehicle in Gaza City’s Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, a medical source at al-Shifa Hospital said.

Nasser Medical Complex confirmed the deaths of the two girls. Their tent had caught fire the previous evening in al-Mawasi, in Khan Younis.

Gaza’s Health Ministry reported six Palestinians killed and 26 injured over the preceding 48 hours. It put the number killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire at 1,580, with another 5,711 injured.

The UN human rights office warned on October 30 that Israeli forces continued to displace Palestinians into a shrinking portion of Gaza and destroy remaining civilian infrastructure. It said those actions raised concerns about ethnic cleansing.

Al Jazeera also reported that negotiations under U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan had stalled and reconstruction had not begun. Hamas says full disarmament depends on Israel’s complete withdrawal; Israel says it will not withdraw until Hamas gives up its weapons.
